Australia's grandma community have gathered to watch their new favourite daytime soap opera: The Australian Liberal Party.
Fans of the soap opera hope that this highly anticipated conclusion to this long standing storyline filled with betrayal, sacrifice and cliffhangers will finally put to rest an important chapter of the dramatic show.
"We just saw the coalition get back together and suddenly this?!"
"Whoever's writing this stuff deserves a Logie" said Debora Fowley (81) while sipping her Bushells tea.
The show's success has not only been reserved for Australia's senior community.
Like many of Australia's great soap opera's the show has been a hit in Northern England.
"Ever since Neighbours ended I've longed for an Australian soap opera to get into, this new Liberal Party show has really been a hit with me and the girls" explained Mary Duntley (79) from Kingston upon Hull, UK.
Viewers say the latest season has delivered everything they could hope for: dramatic leadership spills, surprise resignations and the tension of a will-they-won’t-they coalition reunion.
Afternoon bowls clubs and retirement homes across the country now schedule their days around major announcements, while group chats light up with speculation about plot twists and returning characters.
Producers remain tight lipped about the finale, but loyal fans insist they’ll be watching with bated breath.
