The National Party of Australia have this weekend dropped a political bombshell.

The self-proclaimed party for regional Australia has revealed that its making a stunning commitment to Net Zero seats by the next election.

The commitment to the rather head scratching goal, comes in the form of attempts to try and out One Nation, One Nation.

That stunning commitment follows recent polling, which revealed that the Nationals are on track to be completely and utterly wiped out.

Although only a snapshot of voter intentions now (in the middle of an election cycle where everyone's fired up and not really being catered to by the nation's mainstream politicians) the poll says every single Nationals' seat would be lost.

That has of course lead to musing about whether One Nation are directly responsible for the vote shift, or the Nats themselves with their consistent and proud history of wearing big hats and taking about the bush while doing sweet fuck all for the bush.

Regardless of the causation, an immediate response is required to stop the bleeding, with all signs out of the Nats headquarters pointing to try and go even harder at the popular One Nation talking points to somehow outdo the masters.

That desire from the Nats to follow their leader into the Culture Wars abyss has essentially come as a verbal commitment to Net Zero Seats 2028.

The Nats were contacted for comment but dismissed our questions as 'woke echo chamber nonsense.'

More to come.
