After a career spent herding the cats of Australian political mediocrity, it seems that Channel Seven's Natalie Barr is at her limit.

While the Walkley Awards do not hand out prizes for patience and impassivity, it is generally acknowledged that Natalie Barr might be one of the nation's most talented journalists when it comes to putting up with bullshit.

It's not easy, especially while also attempting to interrogate the actual politics and law-making of said morons.

However, it seems that Barr might have finally met her match with the the three-times Deputy Prime Minister and two-timing family man turned One Nation MP for the New England.

The Sunrise weekly segment that sees her forced to engage with the now powerless and irrelevant Barnaby Joyce MP has caused a crack in her facade.

Going just short of an eye roll, Natalie Barr let slip this morning with a very visible 'eugh'.

While only brief, this lapse in her otherwise bullet-proof demeanour goes against the Australian media's entire mission statement. That is, to treat Barnaby Joyce as some sort of flawed but brilliant political anti-hero.

It is not yet known if this fleeting moment of genuine honesty was witnessed by the brain-rotten rednecks at Sky News who think that Barnaby Joyce is a voice for mythical silent majority of climate denying chauvinists.

But even with the vocal majority of Australian women sympathising with her inability to hide a burning ick, including a growing number of women within the New England electorate, Natalie Barr is now at risk of being labelled a communist-sympathising 'elite' that hates Australia.
