The sport of Formula 1 is preparing for its biggest weekend in over a decade, with three live chances heading into the final race.
McLaren golden boy Lando Norris sits atop the drivers standings, with Red Bull's Max Verstappen and McLaren's renegade son Oscar Piastri a few points adrift.
A number of different scenarios are technically at play in Qatar this weekend, with all three a chance of finishing in any spot on podium.
However, the race for the top spot has just got a little bit harder for Melbourne man Oscar Piastri, after some rather head scratching team orders.
Following a year of allegations of favouritism towards the favourite child Lando, McLaren have now informed Piastri that he needs to change his own tyres this weekend.
"Yeah, after he looked publicly disappointed by our pitting decisions last week (which cost him the win), we've decided he can sort out his own dinner," said a spokesperson for the McLaren family.
"Besides, we need to make sure all hands are on deck to make sure nothing goes wrong with Lando's tyre changes."
"Like if members of the team get struck by lightening during the race, we need to make that we have spares ready to go and NOTHING impacts Lando's chances of winning."
More to come.
