The closest thing Australia has to a royal family outside of the sports world, have finally returned to where it all started for the Queen.

Following a whirlwind tour around the mainland, Mary and Fred have touched down on the Apple Aisle.

Fresh of the back of giving the Prime Minister and other dignitaries a nice box of Danish biccies and shaking hands will all the movers and shakers, the Royal pair are now enjoying a bit of a fresh air down south.

"God it's good to be home," laughed Queen Mary after her 6th pint of Moo Brew down on Salamanca Wharf.

Popping into the classic Hobart establishment the Whaler, Mary and Fred reportedly set about tasting paddling the Moo Brew range, but with pints instead of those weird little glasses.

"Mate, you cannot beat a Moo Brew Dark Ale," continued Mary.

"Shits all over Guiness if you ask me."

King Fred then chirped in that while he doesn't mind the Dark Ale, he actually 'really fucks with the Tassie Lager.'

"Look, I'm Danish after all," he laughed.

"And I like my strong flavours in fish and bread, and you could say that the Dark Ale is like Smørrebrød."

"But the crisp clean nature of the Lager makes me feeling like I'm on holiday (sic)."

The pair then politely asked out reporter to either saddle up with a pint or move on.

More to come.
