A local man has reportedly triggered a mild but persistent existential crisis after noticing the upload date on a classic YouTube video and realising it was posted over 2 decades ago.
"They didn't even have the internet 2 decades ago let alone youtube!" insisted the 36 year old man who was still in a state of denial
The man, who had casually clicked the video he had completely forgotten about, was said to be enjoying himself until his eyes drifted downward toward the description.
“I just wanted to watch it” he explained. “I wasn’t emotionally prepared to learn when it was uploaded.”
Upon seeing “Uploaded 20 years ago” the man briefly attempted to put it down to a bug, before performing the mental maths and confirming that 2006 was, in fact, almost two decades ago.
Witnesses say the moment was followed by silence, a deep sigh, and a sudden awareness of his own age, posture, and general life trajectory.
“I remember watching this when it came out” he said.
“I remember where I was. My goals. My Dreams....."
Further investigation revealed the video’s grainy quality, low resolution, and casual title, details that once felt normal but now served as evidence of a forgotten era of the internet
Millennials around the world are increasingly accidentally encounter timestamps that force them to confront the fact that they are far from the younger generation these day"
“Upload dates used to be irrelevant” said the man.
