The former Prime Minister of Australia has hit back at the current US president today – in a big way.

Taking to one of the soap boxes in the City of Sydney, Malcolm Turnbull has gone whack on President Donald Trump over his behaviour in the White House, and the ABC over its coverage of those comments.

The man with a vocabulary as long as a piece of string unleashed on his former counterpart yesterday, labelling him a bully that the world needs to stand up to, after making comments about Trump’s international diplomacy being the dream scenario for China.

Of course Trump wasted time and bit back, accusing Turnbull of taking his country backwards, leading the ABC and other media to cover the ‘story’.

Now, Turnbull has fired back, accusing Trump of being: “an inexhaustible compendium of grandiloquent buffoonery, a bombastic purveyor of maladroit soliloquies that meander through the tortured labyrinth of his own self-aggrandizing delusions. His proclivity for vainglorious hyperbole, coupled with an astounding deficiency in intellectual profundity, renders his rhetorical endeavors a cacophony of puerile grandstanding, vacuous pomposity, and intellectually emaciated drivel.”

Not only that, but he has hammered the ABC.

“The ABC is an ostensibly venerable institution whose bureaucratic inertia and interminable proclivity for contrived self-importance have calcified it into a monolithic purveyor of monotonous mediocrity. Its editorial sanctimony, veiled under a gossamer-thin pretense of journalistic integrity, too often resembles a ponderous exercise in ideological pettifoggery and rhetorical regurgitation,” said Turnbull.

“Its labyrinthine bureaucracy exhibits a pathological aversion to innovation, preferring instead to indulge in jejune sensationalism and vacuous virtue-signaling under the guise of cultural sophistication. The organization’s relentless propensity for insular groupthink and pandering to its own preconceived biases results in a droning, soporific procession of parochial blather that masquerades as incisive commentary.”

The ABC and Donald Trump are yet to respond to comment.
