M1 Looks Like Mad Max As Bloodthirsty Novocastrians Plan Ambush On Western Sydney

The drums of war are beating along the M1 motorway today as 50,000 proud Novocastrians travel from the Steel Works to Olympic Town.

In scenes reminiscent of Mad Max Fury Road, it’s understood rust soaked war vehicles, Big Block V8s, Ford Raptors and a few coal mining sponsored mini buses from Mangoola are hooning along the Trey Mooney Mooney Bridge today, with their sights set on Grand Final glory.

With the Newcastle Knights planning a diesel powered ambush on Western Sydney tonight, it’s believed the hype to get the red and blue army to the big GF has even inspired one Daniel Johns from Silverchair to come out of retirement.

Fanging a rendition of ‘Freak’ from the front of a 8x8 military truck, built from the steel of the old BHP mill, Daniel Johns is leading the charge, as plumes of diesel soot coat the atmosphere as far back as Swansea.

“Yeahhhhhh ayyyyyrrre, Imma Freeaaaakkk” Johns screamed, as the convoy of vehicles passed the twin servos at Wyong.

With hoards of Novocastrians planning to ambush Accor Stadium, it appears even the atrocious diesel prices haven’t scared the faithful away.

Speaking to one Knights fan, 48 year old Thornton boilermaker Glenn Peden, says he’s been fanging the guts out of his prized 73’ XB Falcon since sunrise.

“If this is us during the prelims, with butchers making blue sausages and stuff, imagine what next week might be like?! We might even witness the original Frogstomp lineup get back together. Now THAT would solve the whole pickle with the Grand Final pre-game entertainment stuff…”

More to come.
