Locals Wince After Witnessing Some Of The Most Red Hot OH&S Breaches On Medium Density Ressie Job

A local medium density residential development on the edge of town has today come under fire, after a few photos of the construction site were shared on social media.

The construction of the 3 story apartment block by a rather questionably backed local developer drew the ire of a few concerned citizens, after tradies on site were photographed breaching a fair few OH&S safety protocols.

"Fuck me dead," laughed one neighbour after walking past the site.

"You can certainly tell it's not a union run job."

"And it's not a local family thing, because whoever's in charge clearly doesn't give a shit about safety."

"The blokes are doing a fast feet army camp through reo mesh on the 2nd floor with no safety railings and uncapped reo bars poking out of the ground like a medieval stake situation waiting to happen."

"Some other bloke was hanging over a beam 7 metres above the ground like he was playing on the monkey bars with the welder in one hand."

"I mean we laugh, but we probably shouldn't."

"It's pretty fucking crook."

Another local confirmed to The Advocate that while he doesn't think he's a wowser, some of the shit that goes on on that job is pretty red hot.

"Yeah goodness me," he sighed.

"Look I'm not a safety goggles to hammer a nail kind of a guy, but slippery wet form ply with no safety barriers and a big fall onto uncapped reo bars is pretty red hot."

'That's not play on for me."

"But what can you do."

The construction company in charge of the job surprisingly declined to comment.

More to come.
