A local woman was reportedly speeding down a Betoota freeway in a sage green car she has no idea the model of.
30 year old Elizabeth Wilson finally had enough of her silver 2013 Hyundai i20 which her Dad picked out for her when she was 21 after it started making a weird sound in the front bit under the oil thingy.
Elizabeth decided she needed a new car which reflected her 30 year old self - mature, cool and big enough just in case she meets the one in the next couple of months and has a baby yet still small enough so she can parallel park with ease.
The most important part of her new car however was the colour. After years driving a boring old silver car, Elizabeth wanted a car which could be easily spotted in a Westfield carpark and also just looked cute.
“I don’t want to be a stereotype but I seriously know fuck all about cars and I have no intention on ever learning anything about them” Elizabeth told our reporter.
“I just looked up “green car” into Google and went from there.”
Elizabeth found the most perfect millennial pistachio green car, which had four wheels, a boot, a steering wheel, a break and no issues when she took it for a test drive.
“The guy that sold it to me was really nice, I don’t know if he was ripping me off but I couldn’t care less, I love my green car.”
While Elizabeth takes pride in her car’s unique colour, she made sure to keep it on the downlow when discussing it with her father, 60 year old Paul Wilson.
However Paul knew the moment he saw the car it was a dud.
“It had done nearly 400 thousand kilometers and took the most expensive petrol. I couldn’t even get the windows to go down” he said while shaking his head.
“It’s all fun and games and cute colours until Elizabeth is calling me at a crazy hour of night asking me why her car won’t start.”
“At least she’s happy with it for now.”
More to come.
