Local Woman Outraged On Friend’s Behalf Who Remains Weirdly Unbothered

A local woman is today left baffled and increasingly frustrated, struggling to understand why her friend seems completely unfazed by what is a clear case of injustice - so much so that she herself has ended up more enraged than the person it’s actually affecting.

Jen McGowan, 32, was recently catching up with her friend Anna when she casually dropped some shocking news: Anna’s roommate, Ruby, not only refuses to contribute her share of the household expenses, but also appears to have sticky fingers.

Strangely, Anna remained weirdly calm about the whole situation.

“Yeah, it’s pretty bad,” Anna explained, if she were commenting on the weather, “she’s taken $500 from my bond and refuses to pay her portion of the bills. Which isn’t very nice, seeing as she’s the only one with aircon in her room and she blasted it all winter.”

Jen, momentarily trying to process the information, repeats it back in disbelief.

“Wait… so she stole money? And now she’s refusing to pay bills?”

“Yeah, haha,” Anna replied with a shrug, “she just ignores my messages and goes off on another European holiday.”

Adding to the confusion, Anna notes that she's also pretty sure Ruby comes from a rich family, which makes it 'even weirder.'

"What!? How are you being so chill about this? Have you confronted her?", asked Jen, now considering having it out with the roommate herself, "dude she's literally scamming you."

"Fuck that fucking cow what the fuck?"

"Wait, is it really that bad?", asked Anna, genuinely surprised.

"Oh yeah, I suppose it is."
