A local woman today has deeply regretted her hairstyle choice after feeling the urge to shake things up a little, it’s reported.

Stacey Gibbs, owner of three moleskin journals, isn’t sure if she has the personality or the head shape to pull off a messy bun.

This comes after six months of sporting an Ariana Grande type ponytail which was so tight Stacey’s eyebrows looked permanently surprised.

“I tried doing a low ponytail for a while,” says Stacey, “to give my scalp a bit of a break.”

“Gave me a bit of an unemployed musician vibe though.”

Stacey reveals she’s always had hair envy, as she was stuck with the unfortunate combination of being ‘thick and oily.’

She recalls an especially traumatic hair related event from her childhood which gave her the first taste of life not being fair.

“I remember this girl, Jessica or Madison, just effortlessly throwing her hair into a bun without even looking.”

“Not one fucking bump in her hair. Like God’s obviously picking his favourites there.”

But Stacey’s biggest gripe with her new hairstyle isn’t that the top knot messy bun makes her look like the number 8, but that her type A personality can’t pull off some wispy strands.

“Yeah, I don’t know if I can pull this one-off.”

“I literally send Google calendar invites for coffee catch-ups with mates, I’m too organised for this shit.”

More to come.
