A local woman reckons she might have found the secret to perfect mental health, after following some wellness pages on Instagram, downloading a meditation app, and purchasing a Buffalo journal from Typo.
Speaking to The Advocate, a rather serene looking Tabitha Gilman, 26 says she was prompted to rehaul her life a couple of weeks ago, when she experienced a terrible bout of anxiety one Sunday morning for ‘absolutely no reason.’
“Yeah it was weird, I just woke up feeling all panicked, my heart was beating so fast”, explains Tabitha, omitting the part where she’d slammed several vodka redbulls the night before, “so I’m trying to practice more mindfulness, start waking up earlier.”
“Things that will nourish my soul.”
Despite Tabitha’s very public Instagram profile revealing a propensity for binge drinking, it appears that curbing alcoholism – and potential substance abuse – has not been included in Tabitha’s mental health rehaul.
“Hmm, yeah probably not”, laughs Tabitha, “I think there’s way more to my anxiety than just that.”
“You know what, this weather probably isn’t helping me much either.”
“Is seasonal anxiety a thing?”
More to come.
