Local Woman Goes Into A Sensory Meltdown As Mate’s Dog Insists On Loudly Licking Himself Next To Her

A woman has this week had a bit of a sensory meltdown at a mate’s house, after his dog thoughtfully decided to sit next to her while loudly and violently licking his privates.

As someone who describes herself as ‘animal lover’, Dom Fenwick, 32, admits that this one act regularly sends her into fight or flight mode, as it’s quite possibly the worst fucking thing to hear when you have misophonia.

Misophonia is a disorder in which certain sounds trigger emotional or physiological responses. Hearing people chew food is one of the most common triggers, but for Dom, it’s the wet, sloppy sound of a dog going to town on itself that elicits the biggest reaction.

“I think it might possibly be the worst fucking sound in the world. It actually sends me into a rage”, says Dom.

“I would rather hear fingernails down a chalkboard.”
