Local Woman Gets The Ick With Herself After Failing To Get Waiter’s Attention Multiple Times

A local woman was left feeling a bit embarrassed this weekend, after several failed attempts to get a waiter’s attention left her realising how silly she must have looked to fellow customers, who no doubt had nothing better to do than watch her every move.

The woman in question, Emma Pope, is said to have been visiting a bustling café in the French Quarter when the incident took place.

Sitting in the corner, Emma reportedly spent several minutes debating whether to just accept her wrong order as she tried in vain to get any waiter's attention, all the while being too shy and too lazy to get off her seat and sort it all out like a normal person.

After her first two attempts to catch the waiter’s eye went completely ignored, Emma says she decided to try again, only this time with some slightly less hesitant hand raises, and a couple of meek 'excuse me's.'

Unfortunately, each effort went unnoticed by passing staff, leaving Emma awkwardly pretending she wasn’t trying to flag anyone down in the first place.

"Oh my god, if anyone was watching, that would have been so embarrassing", says Emma, "I actually gave myself the ick."
