A local high profile Instagram person from the Diamantina Shire has this weekend confirmed she's looking to the year ahead.

With the Australian Open coming to a thrilling conclusion over the weekend, the curtain has well and truly closed on January.

So for Daphne Perkins, that means her love affair with the sport of tennis has now come to a close.

"Let's call it a summer fling," laughed Daphne, who rose to prominence on Season 2 of Love Island, before cementing her self as part of the foundation of Australian social media scroll over the years.

"Look getting down to Melbourne and rubbing shoulders with like minded success driven people at the AO is always great."
