After finally doing something about the severely chipped nail polish she’d been sporting for two weeks, Betoota Heights woman Jasmine Hynes feels like she’s one step closer to getting her shit together.

Brandishing a set of perfectly polished nails, courtesy of her local salon, ‘Smexxy Nails’, Claudia says that this simple self care routine  always leaves her feeling rejuvenated.

“I know it seems a bit trivial, but anyone who gets their nails done will understand me”, explains Jasmine, “I feel like it boosts my mental health.”

“Everything I do just looks nicer.”

Jasmine demonstrates by delicately picking up her coffee cup, and looking at our reporter.

“See? How nice is that?”

“I feel…put together. Like when people look at me, I imagine they assume I have a keep cup and journal, and multiple oversized blazers.”

“I don’t, but now I look like I do.”

More to come.
