A local GP has let out a deep sigh after spotting a pair of elephant pants likely purchased in Chiang Mai, Thailand in the waiting room of her practition.

Elephant pants, the wardrobe staple of people who distrust vaccinations right up until they book flights to Thailand or a retreat in India, have long struck fear into the hearts of doctors worldwide.

"Yep, you know it's going to be a long day when you see those" said Dr.Steven Wu (58), a GP with 25 years of experience in the community.

Dr Wu explained that elephant pant wearers tend to arrive with an unbearable sense of academic confidence accompanied by a refusal to accept any medical advice that feels "off".

"I don't think you have any how hard it is to reassure a patient that centuries of ongoing research amongst the medical community is more trustworthy than a rogue telegram group chat of anti-vaxers" said a tired Dr.Wu

Nurses at the clinic confirmed that there is a system in place for when multiple elephant pants are in the waiting room at the same time.

"We make a point to space them out just so for the sake of our doctors"

Despite Dr.Wu's fatigue, he remains steadfast in his mission as a doctor.

"I took an oath"

"but I just need them to take the actual medication and not rub some weird oil on their neck."
