Local Girl’s Casual FB Stalk Turns Into In-Depth Investigation Of Crush’s Mum’s 2010 Europe Trip

In what began as an innocent stalk of her crush Jake King’s Facebook page, local woman Eliza Leung (27) has found herself several hours deep into an in-depth investigation of Jake’s mum’s 2010 European trip album.

“I was just checking if he still had that dog from his old profile pic,” Eliza confessed, now intimately familiar with the ins and outs of Lisa King’s 12-day Mediterranean cruise.

After exhausting the crush’s few public posts, Eliza found herself navigating the Facebook profiles of various family members, eventually landing on his mum’s extensive 2010 photo album spanning Italy, France, and Greece.

“I wouldn’t call it creepy,” she said, scrolling through yet another gondola pic. “It’s more like… understanding his roots. Plus, Lisa and Greg seemed to have such a great time. Venice looked so cute!”

What began as casual curiosity quickly turned into what Eliza describes as a “weird, parasocial relationship” with her crush’s mum, who she now feels she “knows” after spending hours pouring over holiday snaps, Facebook check-ins, and gushing photo captions.

“I mean, if I ever meet her, I’ll totally know how to bond over her love for Florence,” she mused.

When asked about actually messaging her crush, Eliza said she’s waiting until she finishes reviewing Lisa’s 2012 Bali album.

Leung remains optimistic, adding, “At the very least, I know we’ll have a lot to talk about at Christmas if this ever goes anywhere.”
