Local Bloke Finally Forks Out To Get Some Outdoor Furniture That Won’t Fall Apart After 6 Months In The Sun

A bloke looking to entertain friends and family this summer has finally splashed out on some decent outdoor furniture that won’t peel and fade like his last set, that was originally destined for the rubbish tip.

Having neglected the outdoor area of his humble terrace for some time, Greg Wallace, 33 says he finally took the plunge and got a nice set from Koala Furniture, after realising that his dreams of having a social summer would require actually having something for people to sit on.

Despite purchasing a BBQ a few months ago (which he never uses), Greg hadn’t been bothered getting anything practical for his backyard, relying instead on a slightly cracked glass table left over from the last renter, and a heavily flaking wooden bench he found curbside.

But now that he’s a proper adult (i.e. in his 30s), Greg says it’s about time he started investing in some quality furniture that’s as sturdy as it is pretty, instead of compulsively hoarding whatever he finds on the side of the road.

He proudly shows our reporter a pair of snazzy moss green lounge chairs from Koala, that look like they’d pair perfectly with a couple (or several) glasses of sangria.

“With the price of a pint at a pub these days, I’d much rather entertain at home than go out”, explains Greg, looking at his handiwork with pride, “so I figured I should at least make it look half decent.

“It’ll be far easier to get some mates over if the patio doesn’t look like the back of a uni sharehouse.”

“In fact”, he says, with a thoughtful pause, “I could fancy a bevvie right now, actually.”
