The Albanese Government is on notice.

This comes as Australia's business community finally organise themselves behind representative political leaders who are capable of prosecuting coherent arguments in relation to economic policy.

This comes as the Australian Taxation Office confirms that they will delay the implementation of its controversial credit card ban until the end of the financial year.

The decision has been met with relief from small business owners, who are treading water in the midst of a cost-of-living crisis and global inflation.

But it wouldn't have happened with the Liberal Party leader Angus Taylor taking cues from furious Australian drop-shipping magnates shouting into their iPhone cameras from their poolside sunbeds in Dubai.

After realising that the ATO's new rules had unwittingly pissed off the influencer entrepreneur crowd, the Liberals took cricket bats the government on their behalf.

This has forced Treasurer Jim Chalmers to backpedal and announces that his government will not get in the way of letting small business owners convert tax bills into credit card debt.

In fact, the government will pay $200 million tax payer dollars to help them do it by absorbing the banks fees.

And given the fact that the government is also banning retailers from charging EFTPOS surcharges to their customers, the hypocrisy of a government not willing to cover the same costs had the potential to become a needless own goal for a government at risk of losing the business community of middle Australia that jumped ship from the Liberal Party to Labor in 2022 after the big-spending Morrison government went down in flames.

However, it might be too late to stop these voters from fleeing, now that Angus Taylor has found his voice as a formidiable and handsome old fashioned Liberal.

The economic illiteracy of Pauline Hanson's One Nation has not been exposed as not one member of the extremely online populist party had even clocked this particular grievance from small businesses.

This has given Angus Taylor and the Liberals the opportunity to once again present themselves as the superior economic managers.

And as relentless champions of Australian entrepreneurialism and prosperity they will never, ever allow that Labor bastard Jim Chalmers get away with banning economically distressed business owners from using their credit cards to pay him money.
