The Liberal Party of Australia have today released a new public memo for all of their voters, volunteers and registered members.
They have informed anyone with positive feelings towards the political movement, not to get too attached to any leaders of the party.
Chief Strategist Alistair Whitely spoke to The Advocate about the new party line today, explaining that the move is reflective of the times we live in.
"We pride ourselves on being the sensible and measured voice for Australia, here at the Liberal Party," said Whitely.
"So we thought this would be a sensible and measured recommendation for the people of Australia."
The new memo comes after Liberal Party leaders in New South Wales and Victoria were rolled last week, a couple of weeks after the ACT leader was rolled, and not that long after new leaders took charge in WA and South Australia.
It also comes as rumours continue to swirl around the federal leadership of Sussan Ley.
"Yeah Crisafulli is the only bloke who's safe as houses right now, but he's actual LNP," said Whitely.
"So he doesn't really count."
"The rest of them, regardless of how much you like them or want them to do well, we recommend not getting too attached right now."
"It's for the best."
More to come.
