They say dogs and owners look alike, and it seems that Pavel Zakharov (35) is in no hurry to disprove that theory.

Pavel and his labrador, Dog, didn’t always look alike but recent weight gain has meant the two are inching closer and closer to becoming human and dog replicas of each other.

Speaking with The Advocate, the logistics manager at a local food wholesaler said that it’s hard to keep up the exercise regime for himself and Dog with such a busy work schedule.

“We used to go for long walks but now.. I don’t think Dog would make it much further than the park.”

While he is comfortable blaming the dog for their inactivity, Zakharov’s sister is not so forgiving. Telling The Advocate that Zakharov’s “fat ass” is the reason “poor Dog” is overweight in the first place.

“He’s just fricken lazy that’s what it is. That poor dog used to chase ducks and sniff butts all day long.”

“Now all they do is waddle down the street”

More to come.
