A local finance guy from one of Brisbane’s leafy inner suburbs has today revealed his concern for the nation’s future.

After watching his electorate turn Green, Alexander Walton-Smith explained to The Advocate that he is worried our economy could go down the gurgler.

The stay-at-home son made the interesting claims after another lecture from his dad around the dinner table last night about the way society should function.

“The Labor Party, don’t get me started,” said the young Alexander.

“They always love spending someone else’s money,” laughed the man who doesn’t pay rent, uses his parent’s credit card to book holidays, has a car that is an expense for his dad’s business and draws down on a family trust.

“I mean, they are just way too loose with money. They can’t be trusted,” explains Alexander.

“Fuck, side note. I almost hit the loosest 14 leg multi this morning.”

“I was one chick (sic) away from nailing a mad French open bet,” he sighed.

“Anyway, what was I saying?”

“Yeah, that’s right. The Labor party are fiscally irresonsible, and don’t know how to save money.”

“Just you watch, everything’s going to go to shit. And it’s got nothing to do with decades of allowing giant companies to plunder our resources for next to nothing, turning the right to a home into a way for people with money to make money, and record low wage growth.”

“It’s because Labor are bad economic managers.”

More to come.
