A production company that specialises in stadium events is drawing up a last minute quote this morning, after being asked if they could put on an emergency P!NK show.
This story comes after the NRL scramble to come up with a much needed spark of pre-game entertainment, particularly after being shown up by the Kylie Minogue stadium spectacular that happened at the AFL Grand Final over the weekend.
With Kylie absolutely crushing her 20 minutes of hits at the MCG, a jealous NRL supremo Peter V’landys has apparently told his team to drop everything, and get P!NK flying around on some zipline wires above Accor Stadium ASAP.
With P!NK currently caught up in the Macklemore vs Ed Sheeran controversy in the States, it’s believed she’s now got a window to come on down to Australia, and belt out some of her chardonnay party hits, which will likely be welcomed by the hoards of canteen Mums in attendance at the Grand Final.
Speaking to the Head of NRL Live Experience, it’s believed a contract to sign P!NK is currently being drafted on the back of a Tooheys beer coaster, with $2 million up for grabs as long as she agrees to play “Raise Your Glass”.
“After Tones and I refused to play the Monkey song, we actually gave up on delivering a sporting spectacle up to global standards,” Mike Sheppard-Shark told The Advocate.
“But I woke up to nine missed calls and several texts from Peter Vlandys,” all of them just simply saying “Make the pink mohawk lady happen…”
“We’re negotiating the contract this week. It’s two million tax free dollars, paid into a bank account based in Papua New Guinea. She has to play “Get The Party Started” though, or the whole deal falls through.”
More to come.
