The nation of Australia has today received some sad news on the climate and biodiversity front.

A popular species of regional and outer metro Australia has been confirmed as the latest to be added to the ‘Endangered’ Category.

Jim Beam and Cola, or the White Egg as it’s more colloquially known, has officially become an endangered species after revelations a bloke named Wayde from Wagga has just bought himself tickets to a country music festival.

Big Waydo as he is known by many of his contemporaries caused the cataclysmic event after nabbing himself a spot at the Sydney edition of the Ridin’ Hearts festival.

“Yeah, will be a bad weekend to be a can of Jimmy,” laughed Wayde, whose partner and group of mates are all heading to the big name country music festival in Sydney.

“Nate Smith, Waylon Wyatt, Megan Moroney…”

“Giddy up,” he laughed.

It’s believed that if he had decided to attend the Melbourne edition at Caribbean Gardens as well, he and his group may have caused an extinction event for the White Eggs.

Speaking to The Advocate, local Betoota Zoo Zoologist Robert Steve explained it’s one of the only instances of a species skipping the Threatened Category.

“Yeah, it’s just gone straight to endangered, so we will be making sure to try and support White Egg breeding programs and rehabilitation projects across the country.”

More to come.
