INVINCIBLE: Convicted US killer Christa Pike, has survived the state of Tennessee's two attempts at ending her life by lethal injection, with her lawyers now reporting that the 50-year-old has regained consciousness and is speaking.

Pike was sentenced to death for her role in the murder of a schoolmate three decades ago - in a case that generated nationwide media attention due to the soap opera-like teenage love triangle.

She has since made global headlines after living through the state's first attempt to put a woman to death in two centuries.

Pike's lawyers say "still handcuffed and shackled" to her hospital bed while she remains under medical care, now suffering severe injuries to her arms from the insertion of intravenous lines during the attempted execution last Wednesday.

In fact, after it was reported that the Tennessee Corrections officers had given her a double dose of the lethal injection, there are now theories within the Deep South that she may be a recipient of divine intervention.

Medical experts are still unable to provide an explanation for how a middle aged woman of below average height was able to withstand the lethal combination of chemicals that have successfully taken down gangsters and terrorists twice her size.

Meanwhile, Pike's seeming 'invincibility' has attracted the attention of the Japanese Government.

"The people of Japan call for immediate clemency for Christa Pike" declared the Japanese Ambassador to the US in Washington D.C today.

"If the State Of Tennessee does not want to allow this inmate to re-enter mainstream society, our government would be willing to offer her asylum in exchange for one day's work"

This is in reference to the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station and the government's continuous long-term decommissioning efforts since building was damaged by a 2011 tsunami.

The Ambassador says that due to their culture of honour and self-sacrifice, the nation of Japan has not struggled to find willing participants to help them.

"The problem is, nobody has survived the perilous trek inside the meltdown zone to switch off reactor 3"

"Only Christa Pike could endure such lethals levels of radiation."
