A local man has scoffed at the faith a local barista has put in him by handing over one of those "buy 10 coffees get the next one free"
"Absolutely no chance I'm remembering to bring this thing with me" said Michael Heffernan (28), a notoriously unorganised inner city resident.
The cafe, which has been handing out these stampable coupons since the early 2000's, are very well aware of the situation.
"Yeah, in the 23 years since launching the buy 10 get 1 free coupon, we've have had about 8 people actually follow through and earn a free coffee" explained the cafe's owner.
When questioned on why they still have such an unused rewards program, the cafe owner shrugged.
"I dunno, that's just what cafes do I guess"
While the cafe has admitted to not actually expecting anyone to bring in the coupon card, Michael is still blown away that they gave it to him.
"I just can't believe they actually have faith that i'd ever remember bringing this thing in"
"Who even has a wallet anymore?"
"I guess I should just take it as a compliment" Said Michael.
Anonymous sources have already revealed that within a few days of receiving the card, it had already been destroyed and used for a joint roach.
