Twisting his fingers through finely textured spikes of hair this morning, Brad Delson has a new look.

A rail worker from Carlingford, the 34-year-old has reportedly been in a peppy mood all week, after moshing to one of his favourite bands from his formative years at Qudos Bank Arena.

As a suburban Aussie male who grew up in the golden era of white boy nu-metal, Christmas came early for Brad last weekend when he got to attend Linkin Park’s stadium tour.

And now, with his ears still ringing and back still aching from the show, The Advocate believes Brad will be heading out this weekend, with a cool set of echidna tips, freshly tinged by his local barber.

Hogging the bathroom mirror this eve, Brad’s wife Claire appeared unimpressed after discovering her bloke had used up all her wet look hair gel which is usually reserved for her perfect slicked bun.

“Babe, that stuff's expensive!” Claire huffed, as she picked up the bottle which had been squeezed down to resemble a tube of backpacker’s toothpaste.

“It’s not like the cheap shockwaves stuff you used to use when you were in high school,” she sighed.

Still humming the chorus to ‘Crawling’, Brad seemed to ignore the murmurs of his misso, and instead just stared at himself in the mirror.

Flaunting a pair of baggy khaki cargo pants and his old trusty DC skate shoes, it appears the setlist of old lock-yourself-in-your-bedroom bangers including Faint, Papercut and Somewhere I Belong, has quickly influenced his personal style.

“Babe what are your thoughts on me getting some spacers again..." he asked the wife.

More to come.
