Queensland Expat Finally Becomes A Sydney Girl By Not Saying Thank You To Bus Driver Anymore

Lauren Russo [27] has officially shed her Queensland roots this week and become a true ‘Sydneysider’, which allegedly has nothing to do with becoming a regular at Totti’s, it’s reported.

Making the move roughly one year ago, Lauren states that apart from the ‘alarming amount of cockroaches’ she had in her freezing terrace house and getting stressed by the lack of countdown timers at pedestrian crossings, she’d adapted pretty quickly…a little too quickly, it seems.

“I’m a bit worried to admit this to a Queensland newspaper”, Lauren says, “and I hope you don’t judge me.”

“But I no longer say thank you to the bus driver when I hop off.”

Our reporter takes a deep breath, but tries her hardest to not look judgemental.

“I swear I did it when I first got here!”, she cries, putting her head in her hands, “but nobody else did it, so it just felt weird after a while.”

“Oh god, you think I’m a horrible person, don’t you?”

More to come.
