Local Woman Annoyed To Discover That Eating Well, Exercising And Getting Sunlight Actually Does Improve Her Mood

Opening the blinds of her room to allow some sunlight to stream through, local woman Cleo Upton feels a brief flash of annoyance.

Those bastards are right.

As someone who frequently battled the black dog, Cleo had grown sick and tired of hearing the same line of advice from every doctor and psychologist she visited, all prompting her to make some healthy changes to herself to improve her mood. From exercising and eating well, to making her bed each morning and avoiding a cluttered room, Cleo had figured such cliche advice would do nothing to help her mental illness.

But after a sudden burst of inspiration saw her cleaning and decorating her room, going for mental health walks and getting a daily dose of vitamin C, Cleo now begrudgingly admits that she feels monumentally better. And that pisses her off.

Chatting to our reporter Effie, a frustrated Cleo says she’ll never ever admit this to her healthcare professionals or her nonna, because she just can’t give them the satisfaction.

“God, who knew eating like shit and living like a gremlin would be so bad for your mental health?”, says Anna, “I thought it was just my brain chemicals?”

“I’ve always detested people who suggested I needed to get out more.”

“Obviously, when you’re in a deep pit of depression that’s impossible.”

“But a general malaise? Yeah, healthy habits…do seem to help eugh.”

More to come.
