The Australian man drought is on full display this afternoon, as Olivia Dean wins the nation's 2026 Hottest 100 with her global chart-topper 'Man I Need'.

In a hotly contested field, she edged just past the paddle pop lion from Canberra, Keli Holiday - who came in second with his song about taking his missus dancing.

While both tracks are doing huge numbers on local radio - it seems that more Australians can relate to Olivia Dean's pop-soul ballad about men being scared of having a crack - rather than Keli Holiday's 'Dancing2' - which is about a bloke having a crack.

Both songs are good, but for some reason a lot of Australian men with neckbeards will be especially happy that Olivia Dean won.

Olivia Dean's victory is also something that Australia wears as a bade of pride, because she was touring our nation just as her new album was exploding globally.
