“Here Comes The Boom” Soundtrack Really Accentuates Big Hits On Youtube Footy Highlights

A study released today has confirmed that Rugby League highlight videos aren’t much good unless they are played over the top of Nelly’s Iconic track ‘Here Comes The Boom.’

The song so popular amongst YouTube montage creators has been named as the definitive track to accompany big plays and big hits from any sporting code.

Nelly’s upbeat tune was written specifically for the Adam Sandler film The Longest Yard, and was never officially released as a single.

However, this hasn’t stopped it from spreading to all corners of YouTube, and more importantly becoming the unofficial anthem for any Rugby League highlights video.

Lead researcher of the report Andrew Katter explained that all of these highlights videos that have Imagine Dragons as the soundtrack are useless.

“We’ve found that the only decent highlights videos for big hits featured that Nelly song,” Katter said.

“All this other poppie (sic) shit is a waste of time. It’s gotta be ‘Here Comes The Boom.’ And if editors do it well, the best contact between two 100 kg plus blokes will occur as Nelly goes Boooom.”

Katter explained that his research indicates that there are a couple of notable exceptions to the findings.

“So basically what we found is that you can get away with not using the Nelly backtrack on two occasions;”

“If it’s a biff compilation than you can use some Thunderstruck by ACDC.”

“Or if it’s like a playmaker highlights package with Benji or Shaun Johnson slicing through and throwing flick passes then you can use Requiem for a Dream.”

“That’s it.”
