After nearly ten years in and out of the White House, President Trump may have finally bitten off more than he can chew.

This comes as the American leader made the catastrophic error of humiliating the most spiteful and unforgiving political operator in modern history.

Amongst the fruitful discussions that took place in the first official meeting between Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Donald Trump, it seems the US President could not help himself and decided to throw a barb at Canberra’s ambassador to the US.

Kevin Rudd. A former Prime Minister himself, a man with a reputation for destroying his enemies – no matter how powerful they are.

A man who destroyed the most powerful Liberal government in Australian history with his no-holds barred ‘Kevin 07’ election campaign, before becoming the 3rd Labor Prime Minister to win from Opposition since the Great War.

He then destroyed all of his factional opponents within his own party. By any means necessary.

In fact, the decision to send him to America for a diplomatic posting only came about when a rattled Rupert Murdoch begged Albanese to please distract the retired multimillionaire Queenslander from his relentless campaign to break up Australia’s right-wing news publishing monopoly with his calls for a Royal Commission into media diversity and ownership.

It appears that the only person capable of navigating this man’s furious rage and prickly personality is Anthony Albanese. But even he couldn’t intervene to save Trump and Rudd from each other last night.

While Donald Trump heaped praise on Australia and the PM during the pair’s landmark meeting in Washington, it was Kevin Rudd who got the mandatory public rinsing from Mr Trump.

Mr Rudd, who had previously criticised the president in a series of now-deleted social media posts, was sitting across the table from Mr Trump in the cabinet room, when the patriots from Australia’s Sky News decided to bring it up during a question to Mr Trump.

Trump said quipped that “I don’t like you either, and I probably never will.”

As the room laughed at Kevin Rudd, the twitch in his left eye became visible.

Trump has made a lifelong enemy out of the most vindictive and cunning operator in world politics.

He’s toppled world leaders before. And he will do it again. He will not rest until he has his revenge.
