Treasurer Jim Chalmers has today made an urgent plea to the nation's political and media class to stop trying to make some thing a thing.

The Logan MP has urged everyone to stop trying to give him the title 'The King of The North.'

Hailing from the great state of Queensland, Chalmers explained that 'just cause he's from the North, and he's passed the huge tax changes, and he's waiting in the wings, doesn't mean people should start calling him the King of North.'

The completely unprompted comments from the Treasurer come after British PM Keir Starmer was forced to stand down in the face of a surging wave from the North of the country.

The deeply unpopular PM who didn't seem to seem to stand for a whole lot and came under intense scrutiny for appointing a guy to the US ambassador role who had strong connections to Jeffrey Epstein looks set to hand the job over to a northerner named Andy Burnham.

Burnham is dubbed the King Of The North for standing up to the elitist Southerners and giving it to London during the spicy cough era.

On top of that he's known in the country for more radical policies as Mayor of Manchester, which saw him bring privatised assets back into public hands.

Whether he can last longer than any of the other 6 British PMs since Brexit destroyed the country remains to be seen, however he's already had a flow on effect down the bottom of the world.

"Yeah honestly, like it's not a thing. Jim Chalmers isn't the King of The North, I'm just the Treasurer and I'm SO chill with that," explained Chalmers in short phone call with The Advocate this afternoon.

"So yeah just drop it haha."

"Even though it's got a pretty nice ring to it don't you think?"
