Greens leader Adam Bandt has today announced that in addition to making public schools free, they’ll also make a law to ensure all tomato sauce packets will be free nationwide

In what has stirred suspicions of trying to win the tradie vote, Greens leader Adam Bandt has today announced that in addition to making public schools free, he also plans on making a law that ensures all Masterfoods tomato sauce packets will be free nationwide.

As of now, tomato sauce packets might be provided at no cost in some bakeries and petrol stations across the nation, but are usually sold for somewhere between 30c and 70c each.

But if the Greens get in, Bandt promises that all pies and sausage rolls will be accompanied by free tomato sauce.

As it should be.

“If you’re getting a meat pie everyday, that 50c really starts to add up”, says Bandt, “and nobody should have to pay extra for a basic human right such as tomato sauce, especially for a tasteless servo meat pie.”

More to come.
