An entire train carriage has been swept off their feet by the soothing sound of a French man on the train having a conversation solely through Whatsapp voice notes.

"He's so romantic" said Sarah Blake (25), a commuter on the same carriage.

"I don't know what it is about European men, but they sure love a voice note and they sure do it well!" said an envious bloke sitting two seats ahead.

Pierre Laval, a 33 year old French man with an Avicii tattoo on his forearm hailing from a regional mining town in Picardy, was unaware just how much his fellow commuters were enjoying his public voice note exchange.

"Yes I make voice message with my friend on zee train, but I not know that the other people on zee train hear me" explained the 29 year old Frenchman.

Pierre’s messages ranged from philosophical reflections on why Australian people can't dress to animated retellings of the sex he had the night earlier.

“He doesn’t pause between messages” said one commuter.

“It’s just monologue, playback to another french mans voice, monologue again”

Several passengers reportedly paused their music to listen to the French man speak the language of romance for all to hear, one voice note at a time"

At one point Pierre replayed a 47 second memo out loud to himself before sending it, nodding in agreement with his own thoughts.

By the time Pierre disembarked, the carriage exhaled as one.

“That was amazing" said one flustered man.
