“France Is Unrecognisable Now" Says Sky News Man Unaware This Is The Most French Thing To Happen In Ages

A local man with a very Anglo-Saxon aversion to protests has been dismayed by France's radical transformation through decades of immigration and it's retreat from its national traditions.

"Paris is on fire!"

"Students are protesting!"

"This is not normal" said the 58 year old Brisbane man who went to Paris once in the 90's, got pick pocketed and then left.

"Paris used to be one of the gems of Europe" he said, completely unaware that it has been a radicalised protest haven for the last 300 or so years.

The man, who regularly watches Sky News After Dark, believes the French capital has lost touch with the values that once made it great.

"Whatever happened to the France we all knew and loved? The culture, the history, the traditions?"

It appears the man is unfamiliar with the French Revolution, the July Revolution, the Revolution of 1848, the Paris Commune, or the events of May 1968 and the hundreds of other violent protests in Paris in the post war era and into the modern day.

He was equally shocked to discover that setting fire to public infrastructure and hurling cobblestones at police officers is practically a French national pastime.

"These people clearly have no respect for their country's heritage" he continued, watching footage of protesters barricading a Parisian boulevard.
