BON APPLE TIT: A local woman was found a little too ambitious earlier this week after she returned home from her weekly food shop with an array of random ingredients and condiments despite already knowing she’d be ordering EveryPlate by the end of the month.
Having mastered the 'girl dinner for one’ Bella (25), had deemed herself ready for the big leagues…
“Ooo yes!” she thought, “I’ll make a Tom Yum soup” as she confidently placed fish sauce into her shopping basket.
The shopping haul included everything from niche middle eastern blends to parsley paste she'd successfully convinced herself were household staples.
Fully aware the only cookbook in her kitchen was Jamie Oliver’s 10 Minute Meals (unopened), Bella went from aisle to aisle adding in all sorts of ingredients that could comfortably feed a family of five.
Fast forward to January and Bella’s annual ‘New Year, New Me’ spring clean, where her pantry revealed not a single dent in sight. The same ingredients sat untouched - some still in their original packaging, others with a used by date that’d be considered off to most people’s standards.
“That’s it” she said “I’m getting into meal prepping”
She remembered her mate batting on about these 'girl dinner adjacent' meal kits from EveryPlate.
“They’re that simple and easy” her friend replied back upon Bella's request “and delivered weekly, straight to your door”
“That’ll do” she texted back, ordering a box shortly after.
“Woah what a way to kick start my 2026 fitness goals” she thought to herself, referring to the same goals she had back in Jan of 2025.
Having successfully set herself up for success in 2026, Bella retired to the couch for the remainder of the day, pantry cleaned, to watch Love Island UK.
More to come.
