A full time Tita/part time Karaoke queen has said that the new Michael Jackson movie is potentially the greatest movie she has ever seen.
Like many Filipinos, Nenita Garcia (61) has long held Michael Jackson close to her heart, as someone who has mastered dozens of his songs in karaoke.
The 61 year old Filipina auntie of 9 even got to see the king of pop live in Manila in 1996, which she regularly reminds her family.
Nenita could barely hold back tears as she watched her favourite artist's biopic on the big screen for a second time this week.
Witnesses say Nenita spent much of the film softly whispering “we love you Michael” before loudly informing her niece halfway through that “nobody today can dance like Michael anymore.”
“She was crying before the opening credits even finished,” said her niece Alyssa.
Family members confirmed Nenita has since posted over fourteen Facebook statuses about the film, including blurry photos of the cinema screen captioned “king of pop” followed by multiple diamond and sparkle emojis.
“She’s now telling everybody she personally made eye contact with Michael during the Manila concert in 1996,” said Alyssa.
“She says he pointed directly at her during Billie Jean, but every Filipino auntie who went to that concert somehow claims the exact same thing,”
At press time, Nenita was reportedly attempting to recreate Michael Jackson dance moves at a family birthday party while wearing wedge sandals.
