French police have dropped some huge news in relation to last month's daylight robbery of the Louvre.
Speaking to reporters this morning, they confirmed that four more people have been arrested in relation to the stunning jewel heist.
They have yet to disclose what role they played in the scandal that made headlines around the globe.
However, they have released some new evidence, including the bizarre manner in which the thieves manage to whisk away the jewels.
In an incredible development, it's been alleged that the robbers actually managed to fool the Louvre's security systems by replacing the jewels with unwashed brown potatoes.
Borrowing the incredible life hack made popular in self serve checkouts a world away on the foreign sands of Australia, the thieves apparently quietly and discretely replaced the expensive jewels with the very cheap and affordable potatoes.
"It's truly shocking that they managed to get away with this, like this," said French Police spokesperson Jean Dahm.
"There will be a serious overhaul of our security systems."
Off the record, Mr Dahm confirmed that the Louvre are considering introducing AI facial technology and those checkout barrier things as you exit the self checkout aisle.
More to come.
