As the pointy end of pregnancy approaches, a Central Coast couple have today finally whittled down their favourite 20 baby names – to severely modify and distort with random vowels and consonants.

With not long now until the due date, Alison and Jeremy Wilson told The Advocate they have spent months going back on forth on the shortlist.

“It’s obviously the biggest issue for any expecting parents,” laughed the Tuggerah locals.

“I mean I really like the US State-based names like Montana, Washington and Indiana for a girl, and hard names for a boy” explained Jeremy.

“But Alison really likes the more modern names like Kirra-Lee, Chantelle and Kane, Jayden and stuff.”

“So we just decided to shortlist 20 of our real favourites,”

“And no we’ll work on the letter structure of the words and chop and change as much as we need until we get the perfect 2019 baby name,” said Alison.

Alison then explained that there is already a couple of favourites.

“Yeah, at the moment we really like Braydun and Tyerowne for a boy and Cherealeece and Graycie.”

“We’ll get there eventually,” they laughed.
