A dystopian data centre the size of an international airport has thankfully been placed next to the dystopian suburban sprawl that young families are expected to move into.
“Yeah, we just figured this place really suited a few windowless buildings the size of ten football fields" explained Tony Ridley (50), a representative for an American tech giant.
"It's about maintaining a consistency across the last paddocks this once semi-rural suburb has left”
Locals in the area seem surprisingly unfazed.
"Good to have a few new cafes in the area I spose" explained Jess Reed (34) mother of two.
"I mean, we don't even have a woolies. Who knows, maybe the data centre employees will start up a touch footy comp. We might even get a bit of green space for them to play on"
Urban planners have praised the project for bringing jobs to the area, confirming that the project will see a whopping 200 temporary specialist tradesmen from Silicon Valley flown in.
Residents say the constant low hum from the centre is similar to sounds of waves crashing on the coast, as it masks the traffic from the eight lane highway that divides the development from the nearest school, and trees.
Developers say the project represents long term investment in the region while also being a great way to supercharge Australia's diversifying economy that had previously relied solely on the dystopian urban sprawl, but now boats dystopian data storage.
