Dragons And Eels Charged With The Theft Of Sunday Afternoon

A litany of charges have been pressed against a number of NRL players this morning, after a shocking indecent over the weekend.

The entire Parramatta Eels and St George Illawarra Dragons NRL teams have been hit with larceny charges under section 117 of the NSW Crimes Act.

The rare scandal for the unblemished and generally clean cut code comes after the two teams played out an absolute stinker of a Sunday arvo game.

Despite tries aplenty in the 30-20 victory for the Blue and Golds, the amount of dropped ball, shitty errors and the clunky nature of the attack meant that police feel there were sufficient grounds to press charges.

"The threshold was definitely met," confirmed NSW Police Commissioner Mal Lanyon this morning.

"A great weekend of footy, a glorious Sunday afternoon in Parramatta."

"Obviously the 6:15 game wasn't exactly one to look forward to."

"So plenty of people were treating that 4pm Sunday game as the one and done."

"And those two teams dished up that shit."

"Pardon my language."

"But honestly, some of the worst we've seen from a Rugby League players."

"Sure they Eels got away with two points, but they also played a pivotal role in robbing the general public of 2 hours of their weekend."

"Disgraceful."

"I hope the judge throws the book at them."

More to come.
