Tennis great Margaret Court is this week kicking back and relishing in some vindication.
The 24 time Grand Slam winning player and Perth Pastor is currently bathing in her greatness, after watching her long foretold premonitions play out in the global spotlight.
"I tried to tell you lot," mused Court, in an exclusive interview with The Advocate.
"I really did."
"I warned you that god would punish us for their blatant and widespread moral failures and sins of this country."
"And lo and behold, it has happened."
Court says she believes the 40 plus degree temperatures beleaguering the Australian Open this year, are proof that God has decided to smite us down.
Famous for saying things like tennis is "full of lesbians" and that transgender children were the work of "the devil," Court said she had long tried to warn the country and the sport that this would happen.
"45 degrees yesterday," she said smugly.
"Don't try and blame it on some airy fairy made up climate change woo woo stuff," said Court.
"This is clear evidence that this countries transgressions, pardon the pun, have brought his judgement down upon us."
"And while I'm not happy it's happening, I'm happy to say I told you so."
More to come.
