Dave Hughes Urged To Start Negatively Gearing The Rental Property That Albo Is Occupying In His Head

Dave Hughes has today been offered a solution to one of, if not the biggest problem in his life - apparently.

The comedian and tv personality has informed that with one simple trick, he can help turn his frown upside down.

That trick is negative gearing, according to prominent local business commentator Alan Chris.

"Yeah, given how fired up Hughesy is about these changes to investor welfare, I think it makes sense that he tries to really cash in as much as possible before the changes come into effect."

"So, he should negatively gear the property Albo is occupying inside his head."

"Because Albo is currently living there rent free."

"Which obviously means he can offset those rental losses against his income in one of the most generous investor welfare schemes in the developed world."

"And, the good thing for Dave, is that because he owned that property before July 1 next year, he can grandfather the living fuck out of it."

"Which means the changes actually don't effect that current property or any other properties he has - he just can't have MORE unless he's actually gonna build something and contribute to the economy."

"Yeah, I know, it kinda sounds like it's not really going to leave him destitute..."

Chris said that Hughesy should also consider whether the other properties rented out by people like Jim Chalmers are appropriate to negatively gear.
