As workplaces have been forced to reconsider how they increase efficiency in a modern era, some are holding true to the classic tactics.

Junior lawyer at Old City District law firm Slater & Mints, James Grace (32) received a visit from his boss Victor just to check if he had read the email he sent 37.609 seconds ago.

“Really? It’s not a long read,” laughed Ness, jabbing a finger at his email that seemed more of a lengthy experiment with font size & colour than a comprehensible document.

“Did you understand everything in it?”

Having been taking a break for his 11 am stress out, James informed the boss that he had not had a chance to read his email.

This then caused Ness to explain the whole email to him in person, taking more time than it would have to simply read the message, eating into his lunch minute and his post-lunch stress cry.

“Did that all make sense?”
