After doing everything everything in his power to get in front of Australian voters ahead of the 2025 Federal Election – it appears the North Queensland mining magnate Clive Palmer finally has everyone talking.
This time for sending yet another unsolicited text.
For weeks, Australians have been furious about the amount of unwanted spam SMS messages that have been sent to their phones by Clive Palmer’s new political party ‘The Trumpet Of Patriots’.
Today’s text, however, appears to have made less sense than any of the others.
There was no mention of slashing immigration, or allowing Australians to buy homes with 3% deposits. In fact, there was no mention of his enemies in the Liberals, Labor and One Nation.
Yesterday’s text read:
“Oi what was the name of that restaurant on the way to Canberra from Sydney that does the satay pasta. Fuk that was good”
Palmer has since addressed today’s text message, stating that it was meant for his media advisor, who’s name is Evan.
“‘Evan’ sits just above ‘Every single Australian voter’ in my phone’s contact list” says Clive.
“It was an easy mistake to make, and a costly one too. At 6 cents a text…”
“Anyway, I apologise for that one, but not the others. To be honest I’m just getting really excited to get elected again and want to see if all my favourite haunts are still open down south”
“For the record, the restaurant’s name is the Paragon Cafe in Goulburn. It’s incredible”
