It can now be confirmed that people who do Hyrox and City2Surf are simply the fitness version of the Labubu and Dubai chocolate craze, which is a statement that will make zero sense to anyone over the age of thirty five.

For Sydneysiders, the likelihood of attending City 2 Surf is quadrupled if they have attended Hyrox this year, which also likely means they are either a member at an F45 or CrossFit gym (the equivalent to Matcha).

For those unaware of the fitness craze, Hyrox is a functional HIIT style fitness tournament that is essentially the modern and much sexier version of a Tough Mudder challenge.

Unfortunately, though the competitions are full of some of the incredibly attractive people Australia has to offer, Hyrox is short for ‘hybrid rockstar’, which makes it a little bit embarrassing.
