Chris Minns Thanks Angus Taylor For Distracting The News Cycle

The NSW Premier has today taken some time to thank an unlikely ally.

State Labor leader Chris Minns has picked up the phone to thank a bloke from the other side of the ANZAC Bridge, and the political aisle.

"Yeah, I just thought it was a nice thing to do," said Minns after calling aspiring Federal Opposition leader Angus Taylor.

"I'll drop him off a couple cases tomorrow and maybe even a water licence or two."

The cause for the gratitude comes in the form of Taylor moving the news cycle on from the hectic scenes that came out of Sydney earlier this week.

After being given a hospital pass by his Federal leader, Minns was forced to stand by the NSW Police Force who were in charge of enforcing his ban on protests.

That ban lead to flash points between protestors and police with widely circulated footage showing cops flogging the fuck out of peaceful citizens.

With many of the old guard of course applauding the police for the Sir Joh level treatment of protestors, many of the voters Minns is trying to appeal to weren't particularly impressed by the rather hectic crack down on freedom of speech.

Those criticisms have grown legs across the state, with Minns facing somewhat of a political scandal.

However, thankfully for Minns, Angus Taylor has decided now is the time to save the Liberal Party with his political genius and vision for the nation.

"Yeah, he's done me a solid," laughed Minns to The Advocate.

"Angoo 2026 for me mate, I'm all aboard."
